Why did the customer contact us?
The customer contact us because his house is cold and he wanted dry storage. The house is 100 years old and the basement had a dirt floor. 2 joist where rotten.
Solutions Provided:
We encapsulated the entire ground with dimple board on the ground 1†insulation on top of that then our 20mil liner on top then sealed to the foundation wall. In the basement we installed a sump pit with a sump pump and discharged the water outside to an existing downspout line. On the ground we installed dimple board, 1†insulation then we poured a 3†concrete slab in the basement because the homeowner wanted a hard surface. The last thing we did was spray foamed all the foundation walls and the wood band board, sill plate. Sister 2 joist that where rotten and installed beam with post on concrete footer.
